Become an Effective Leader, Manager; Executive Education at School of Business-Camden Slates Spring Programs

Executive Education at Rutgers School of Business-Camden has added several new continuing education courses offered at various locations focusing on leadership and management skills for supervisors and executives for the 2012 to 2013 academic year.

Maximizing Your Leadership DNA is an intensive 3-day leadership training program that begins with a leadership kick-off dinner to allow senior leaders, key decision makers, business owners, and other executive-level individuals to interact in a casual setting.  It will take place April 2-4 in Philadelphia. The course focuses on self-awareness exploration, application and practice situations, and case examples to help participants master the competencies of effective executive leadership. It will help participants to look at the big picture, build strong teams, and maintain effective communications while maintaining the agility and poise of the world’s most successful leaders.  Registration deadline is March 29.

Would You Want to Work for You? The Formula for Great Management is a powerful two-day course for both newly appointed managers and seasoned managers, who need to build upon their managerial competencies. It will be offered in Princeton June 11-12. Participants will learn to address critical competencies such as hiring, retaining, and developing a high-performing workforce by applying the latest behavioral research to everyday situations in order to achieve targeted results. Registration deadline is May 31.

The 7.5 Key Strategies for Being an Effective Supervisor is a two-day program taking place March 5-6 in Mount Laurel that is designed to sharpen the skills of existing supervisors as well as develop the required skills for those making the transition to supervisory roles. Participants will learn to build effective communication skills to develop employees, and to delegate with clarity, fairness, and authority. In addition, the program will help to increase their contribution potential and foster skills needed to create a foundation for furthering professional growth in management. Individuals will practice these new skills through practical exercises, case studies, and group discussions in order to be able to implement them upon their return to work. Registration deadline is February 22.
