Interested in Teaching? Come to an Open House

The Urban Teacher Education Program (UTEP) at Rutgers-Newark will host an open house for Rutgers alumni and current Rutgers students interested in becoming certified teachers in racially, ethnically, economically, and linguistically diverse urban secondary schools. The event will take place at the Paul Robeson Campus Center, Room 256/7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15.

Speakers will be Joelle Tutela, director of teacher education, and Ivette Rosario, interim program coordinator.

The program accepts Rutgers alumni with degrees in liberal arts subject areas eligible for certification in New Jersey: English, mathematics, biology, geology, environmental sciences, chemistry, physics, Spanish, Portuguese, history, political science, sociology, anthropology, and economics.
