Institute of Addiction Studies Is June 23-28 at Rutgers-New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Registrations are now being accepted for the 2013 Institute of Addiction Studies, Rutgers Center of Alcohol Studies’ renowned continuing education summer program, to be held on the Rutgers New Brunswick Campus June 23-28.

“Prevention and Recovery Through the Lifespan” is the theme of this year’s program, which will feature more than 35 courses and 20 lectures, workshops and other educational experiences. Participants may earn up to 55 hours of continuing education credits. Peer-learning groups, facilitated by experienced educators, help to promote student engagement and networking among attendees.

June 23 will be a pre-conference day focusing on working with veteran populations and on prevention programming.

Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Program

The Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Program, administered by Rutgers Center of Alcohol Studies, Professional Development Division, is a fellowship program designed to facilitate the empowerment and further development of school nurses as leaders within their community’s educational and health services teams to improve student health practices.

The fellowship program includes:

  • Five-day Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Institute
  • Online continuing education courses in health areas
  • Continuing networking and development opportunities for alumni
