Due Process Takes Home Another Emmy!

Rutgers iTV Studio wins another local Emmy

It’s a 22nd Emmy Award for Due Process! The weekly public TV series on law and justice is produced by Rutgers School of Law-Newark, The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and The Division of Continuing Studies.  The production facility is provided by Rutgers iTV Studio.

During ceremonies on September 7th, 2013 in Philadelphia, Pa.,  the 2013 Mid-Atlantic Emmy for Outstanding Interview/Discussion Series was awarded.

Due Process airs on NJTV, the local PBS station.  This is the fourth Emmy Award since the series partnered with Rutgers University.

'Due Process', Produced at iTV Studio, Earns Regional Emmy Nominations

Associate Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, Sandy King, Raymond Brown

Due Process, the critically acclaimed public television series on law and justice produced in partnership with the Rutgers iTV Studio and the Division of Continuing Studies, has been nominated for six Emmy Awards by The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The awards will be presented September 22 in Philadelphia.

The nominations affirm the program’s long tradition of excellence, having been the winner of 19 New York and Mid-Atlantic Emmys since it premiered on New Jersey Network (NJN) in 1996.

After NJN went off the air in 2011, Due Process found a new base at Rutgers Law School—Newark, through the efforts of Dean John Farmer, and a new production home at iTV Studio on the Livingston Campus in Piscataway, thanks to then-Vice President for Continuing Studies Ray Caprio.

Homeland Security Training Videos Showcase iTV Studio’s Reach

A first-of-its-kind collaboration between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Rutgers Center for Transportation Safety, Security and Risk (CTSSR) recently provided Rutgers’ iTV Studio with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the breadth and depth of its capabilities. From soup to nuts, the fee-for-service video production unit of the Rutgers Division of Continuing Studies created three state-of-the-art training films for front-line public transit employees.
