Free Online Courses Offered in Jewish Studies

The Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers offers free online mini-courses for anyone interested in learning about the Bible, Israel, or Jewish history and culture.

The courses can be accessed through the Bildner Center’s website. They are taught by Jewish studies faculty and are accessible over the internet from any location. The courses include video streams, slide shows, charts, maps, links to websites, and a discussion board.

The courses appeal to learners of all ages, from high school students to retirees. To date, these courses have been taken by people in more than 47 countries and 41 states across the U.S., who are interested in expanding their knowledge of Jewish history and culture.

The program is made possible by a generous gift from Gene Hoffman.  To take a course, visit jewishstudies.rutgers.edu and follow the link to online study.
